The Massachusetts Association of Italian American Police Officers has been at the forefront of providing support and recognition of the work of Law Enforcement Officers of Italian American descent and heritage. The dues of our members are the lifeline of our association. The organization does not solicit funds and relies solely on its members to support us. Along with the scholarship funds for our members’ children and the many projects we sponsor, your dues also helps defray the cost of flowers for our deceased members and their immediate family, fruit baskets for hospitalized members, our annual awards banquet and retirement plaques for our retirees.

Over the years we have diligently worked on honoring our men and women in the military and in law enforcement as well as our fallen brothers and sisters-in-arms who have been killed in the line of duty. Each May, as part of National Police Week, members of our staff participate in the annual tribute to officers who have died in the line of duty, part of the National Police Week observance in the nation’s capital.

Each day, law enforcement officers are expected to perform duties that are both routine and extraordinary under the harshest conditions and against odds made overwhelming by an erratic legal system despite an environment that grows more hostile day by day. Our goal is to support these efforts while continuing to bring to the forefront the efforts and achievements of those officers of Italian decent. Our mission is to always insure our heritage is never an impediment to our profession and that stereotypes are never an acceptable way to characterize our culture.
